Confirmed 2026-06-16. Hunter.io is a B2B professional email search index registered in California (AG + CPPA) and subject to GDPR/UK-GDPR for EU/UK subjects. Opt-out via the Claim page (hunter.io/claim): enter the professional email address to claim, receive a confirmation link by email, click to verify, then click "Delete my information". Deletion is processed within 5 working days. Only professional emails can be claimed — webmail addresses (@gmail.com etc.) are not indexed and cannot be claimed. Authorized agents are accepted with written signed authorization; the agent and data subject must both verify identity separately. Appeals may be submitted to [email protected] within 30 days; Hunter responds within 45 days. Verification is broker-confirmed: while the domain search could in principle be re-run, Hunter's claim process does not expose a stable per-person profile URL to screenshot. Tier set to 2 (broker_confirmed) rather than 1, as there is no reliably stable public profile URL pattern. Sensitive flags: employment, professional network, geolocation.
