Confirmed 2026-06-16. MaxMind is an IP geolocation and fraud-detection data company (GeoIP2, minFraud). The opt-out form at /en/opt-out collects the submitting device's IP address automatically; no IP identifier field is needed from the user. Users choose between a Limited Opt-Out (excludes country-level data) or Global Opt-Out. Required user fields are name, email, and postal code (zip); phone and address are optional. Authorized agents are accepted — agent name, agent email, and written consent upload are required when submitting on someone else's behalf (contact: [email protected]). No email confirmation step is needed post-submission; broker places the IP on a Do Not Sell list. Verify method is broker_confirmed because MaxMind does not expose a public consumer-facing profile that can be rescanned. Legal hook is CCPA-1798.120 (opt-out of sale).
